The experiences of the initiative’s twelve participating communities provide valuable guidance for other communities wanting to build programs of their own.  Communities in Charge makes this information available with the publication of its web-based manual below.

The manual describes the tasks associated with

  • Preparing for such a project
  • Analyzing the environment and designing the program
  • Developing business and implementation plans

and recommends a method for carrying out each of these tasks.  The manual includes detailed examples from Communities in Charge participating communities and key findings from the initiative as a whole.
